Unlike followers, likes target a specific post. Searches on this topic often involve small quantities: Google suggests, for example, "buy 25 likes" or "buy 50 likes" on Instagram. The right question is therefore not "how many at most" but "how many is credible for this post".
What likes are for
The number of likes is one of the first things a visitor notices under a post. A post with no reaction looks less interesting than one that already shows visible engagement. Likes give a post a first signal of interest, on which your audience's real engagement can then build.
They do not change the quality of the content, and they do not add followers. They only make sense under a post you want to put forward: a launch, an announcement, an offer.
Which quantity to choose
The most useful benchmark is your own level of engagement. If your posts usually get 40 likes, jumping to 400 at once stands out. Aim instead for the level of your best posts, or one step above it, rather than a multiple of your average.
Here are orders of magnitude from the VyBoost catalog, on 17 October 2026 (the page of each service shows the current price):
- Worldwide likes: €1.50 for 100, €3.00 for 500, €4.99 for 1,000.
- European likes: €2.99 for 100, €8.99 for 500, €16.99 for 1,000.
- French likes: €4.99 for 100, €21.99 for 500, €39.99 for 1,000.
The minimum quantity is 100 likes per order. The very small volumes seen in searches, such as 25 or 50, are therefore not available.
When to order
The first hours after a post goes live count: many platforms look at the engagement signals received early to decide how widely to distribute content. Ordering likes for a recent post therefore makes more sense than for an old one, which has already found its audience or not.
Delivery is gradual, within 10 minutes to 24 hours at most, for a result that does not look like a sudden spike. For an important post, order as soon as it is published.
Worldwide, European or French
The difference lies in where the audience comes from, and it is paid for: the more precise the targeting, the higher the price per thousand.
The list of people who liked a post is usually viewable by visitors, unless the account has hidden the like count. If your audience is French, French likes give a list consistent with your market, which matters most for a local business, a brand or a French-speaking creator. For an English-language post, international content or a tight budget, the Worldwide type is enough. The European type is the middle option, without a guarantee of a specific country.
If you still hesitate, the logic is the same as for followers, detailed in French, European or worldwide Instagram followers.
Mistakes to avoid
- Providing the profile link instead of the post link. Likes must be attached to a specific post: give its link.
- Ordering for a private account. The account must be public for the order to go through.
- Putting likes on every post. Likes on every post, always in the same volume, do not look natural. Keep them for key content.
- Neglecting the content. Likes do not stop a visitor who finds the post uninteresting. The content is still what brings people back.
Measuring what changes
Likes add interactions to the numerator of the engagement rate: they push it up without reflecting your audience's real interest. To interpret your numbers honestly, note the posts concerned and compare them separately. Our article on the Instagram engagement rate details the calculation.
